Happy 4th of July! As you may already know, this year we teamed up with Pets for Patriots, whose mission is to give the gift of fidelity, joy and love to both veteran and pet through companion animal adoption as stated on their website.
As animal lovers and supporters, this organization touched our hearts. Their vision to end animal homelessness in the United States while giving our military veterans and their families the greatest “thank you” of all: the extraordinary love of a companion pet, is something we strongly believe in. Year after year we celebrate this holiday with our audience and this July 4th is no different.
The Classic Fit Patriotic Tee was easily inspired by the many stories that Pets for Patriots shares on part of their website: The Wet Nose Blog. These life moments, carefully crafted into words from true life experiences, are a beautiful reminder that animals can teach us about love and forgiveness, no matter how big or small.
The platform they've built frequently publishes words like family, veteran, counterpart and stability—and that's what we want you to think about this holiday. We hope Pets for Patriots inspires you just like it did us; merging a love for animals and patriots into one. After carefully reading through their posts, published every Tuesday, we chose this one to share with you. Meet Sarah, an Afghanistan veteran who found a redheaded canine counterpart through Pets for Patriots. For seven years she served in the Army National Guard. During the course of her enlistment she was deployed to Afghanistan and worked as an intelligence analyst.
