Boston Children's Hospital, Round Two

September 17, 2017

Elephants are known to be full of wisdom and exude compassion + patience. At Ivory Ella we take pride in educating others about these magnificent mammals and why they are so important to this world.

During our second visit to Boston Children's Hospital we set up a table in front of the main entrance; a special location with very humbling perimeters. It was full of Ivory Ella supplies for patients and families that remind us of the very strength elephants possess.

For a few hours our team handed out stuffed elephants in exchange for smiles and grateful parents, which was the gift of a lifetime. In that time we were able to interact with about 150 patients + families coming & going and even left some gifts behind for those readying for check-ups and surgery.

We also received a visit from Sandra L. Fenwick, President and CEO of the hospital. To see her, doctors, CLSs, patients and families all together was not only inspiring, but extremely unifying when thinking about all the walks of life that make this hospital a one-of-a-kind institution.

This trip, full of many firsts, made it possible for us to spread our Ivory Ella love and join in on a local community that is truly making a difference for all families and children alike. As this month comes to an end we are reminded of our involvement in Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, which has allowed for us to connect to many powerful stories and spread awareness in hopes that one day we find a cure.

Thank you to Boston Children's Hospital for opening your doors and to the families + patients for opening your hearts as we all continue to fight, together.
